Over 120 people took part in the University and College Tournament. Edinburgh University send 35 players which was over twice as many as any other university.
In the men’s singles Jacob Kryczka, Wilgene Tan and Stuart Pittman made it into the knockout stages with Stuart getting knocked out in the quarters by Wilgene and Jacob knocked out in the semi finals. Wilgene went all the way and won 21-11 in the final against Glasgow University.

In the women’s singles Bennath Mitchell and Aisha Kerr made it through to the knockout stages although an honourable mention to Kathryn Wilson, who beat the person who won her group but didn’t progress due to point differences. Aisha was knocked out in the semi final by a Stirling student in a close game while Bennath won the final.
EUBC had three pairs in the knockout stages. Aisha and James lost to Stuart and Fiona in the quarter finals who then lost in the semi finals. Wei and Bennath then won the final decisively 21-11 to make sure Edinburgh University won every event!
Next year EUBC will aim for gold and silver in every event!
