Trials
Trials take place during Welcome Week at the start of the year (11th – 17th September 2023) and we welcome all members to give it a go. Re-trials take place at the start of Semester 2 (13th January) which allows members to try for other teams or a second chance for new members to join!
For January 2024 Trials dates, please check the Welcome Week page.
Coaching
Each team receives excellent coaching opportunities that vary depending on the team. All teams receive at least one training session per week, with our higher teams receiving one or two more sessions which is reflected in the Team Membership Price.
Coaching sessions take place in either the Centre of Sport and Exercise (Pleasance CSE) or St Leonard’s Land.
There are also ample opportunities for members interested in gaining coaching experience or coaching qualifications throughout the year. Please get in touch!
Fitness Circuits
All teams and members of EUBC have the opportunity to attend our conditioning sessions every Monday 18:00-19:15 @CSE circuit gym . These sessions are tailored towards badminton-oriented fitness development and conditioning. On top of this, the 1st team are able to take advantage of two additional Performance fitness sessions run by qualified fitness coaches.
All fitness sessions are held in the Centre of Sport and Exercise which houses state of the art facilities.
