After three days of tough and long matches, I’m sure everyone is both relieved and disappointed it has come to an end.
In the singles our top players Caroline Collinson and Stewert Ferns both got to the final. Stewert Ferns lost in two very close games to the first seed Craig Lamb. Caroline was joined by fellow EUBC player Rena Lui in the final who she beat 21-11 and 21-9 to retain her title.

In the men’s doubles Kai Lin and Bill de Jong battled hard against Wilgene Tan and Wei Ong in the quarter-finals before beating the first seeds to reach the finals where they beat the third seeds 21-11, 21-11. In the women’s doubles Caroline and her partner reached the final and after taking it to a third game, ran out of time leaving it to be settled another time.
In the mixed doubles we had two pairs, Stuart and Fiona and Kai and Caroline, win their group and get to the semi-finals but they were unable to reach the final.
