EUBC 1

The 1st girls took on the 2nd girls in the Lothian league which ended in a 16-2 victory to the 1sts.

On the 18th of October the 1sts were awarded a walk over against Glasgow’s 1st team for cancelling the match too late.

Saturday 25th of October out 1st team faced Heriot-Watts 1st and won 12-0. Stuart Pittman played well getting through his tough 3 set singles match and winning in the end. Stuart and Kevin got off to a slow start in their doubles but brought it back winning in 3 sets. In addition great effort from Sofia in her first ever game for the team. This means that our 1st team are still undefeated this season and we hope this great run continues.

On Saturday the 18th of October our 2nd team took on Glasgow Caledonian’s 1st team in a Scottish 3A match which resulted in a 9-3 win for Edinburgh. This means the 2nds are still unbeaten this season so far. Special mention to the girls who were dominant in their matches which left it down to the gents doubles and resulted in some good wins.

On Sunday the 26th our 2nd team travelled to Dundee to take on their 2nd team and won 12-0. This means our 2nds are still undefeated with the team putting in some great performances recently.

EUBC 3

Our 3rds took on Aberdeen 2nds on the 18th of October which ended in a good result and Edinburgh came out with a 9-3 victory. This was a good overall performance with the stand out player being Claire Stacey.

The 3rd team had another cup pool game on the 26th of October where they faced strong opposition which were Dundee’s 1st team. Sadly this was a 10-2 loss. However the team are still undefeated in the league and hope to continue this.

EUBC 4-6

The gents got their Lothian League campaigns underway and straight away there was a tense clash between the 4th and 5th teams. This resulted in an outstanding victory for the 5ths beating the 4ths 11-7. Great performance all round from the 5th team with Evan Thomas and Jonathan Fyfe only dropping one set.

The 6ths also played their first match narrowly losing to Lloyds 8-10. Unlucky but a great performance none the less as it was a lot of the team’s first ever Lothian match. Special mentions to Ross and Tony who only dropped one set throughout the whole match.
